At HHSDR, our work centers around yours.

Pre-planning. Design. Construction. At every stage of your project, we are working with you, collaborating as a team to ensure success. A principal of our firm is your direct contact, all the time, overseeing every detail from initial meetings through construction oversight. Some clients call us “the most responsive architecture firm I’ve ever encountered.” We just call it the right way to do business.

A business built on relationships.

In 1953, Don Hunter had a vision. His three-person architecture firm, Hunter, Heiges & Gross, based in Sharon, was one of many small firms dotting the region. What made his firm different? He put people first. Before long, the firm grew as clients remained and new ones came aboard, opening a Meadville office to better serve them. By the 1990s, HHSDR, like most other design firms, had joined the trend of acquisitions and consolidations. In 2000, HHSDR moved its satellite office to Pittsburgh to meet the growing needs of clients and prospects in an even wider geography.

Throughout its history, and through all the changes in architecture, design and the competitive landscape, one thing remains just as true today. HHSDR is still built on relationships. Our clients, many of which have turned to us for decades, depend on our deep knowledge of their business and facilites, no-nonsense counsel and immersive approach.
